Sue Monk Kidd was born and raised in the small town of Sylvester in Georgia.The Secret Life of Bees was her first novel she wrote. Sue knew she wanted to be a writer when she was a kid because of her dads imaginative stories.Her husband name was Sandy. He taught at a small liberal arts college.The Secret Life of Bees has sold more than 3.5 million copies. Her second novel she wrote was The Mermaid Chair in 2002. She completed the novel in 2004. It was Published in the Spring of 2005. Sue monk Kidd was born on 12 of August 1948. She is 61 yrs old.
