May is sad because her twin sister died. And because May and her sister were like one person. She is quiet and depressed. May made a wall out of stones so she can write what she is feeling on a piece a paper then stick it between the stones. And she also helps her sisters with the honey making.

Secret Life Of Bees

The store is on the edge of town and it looks about a hundred years old. But when you get closer it actually looks even older. General store and Restaurant since 1854. There was a small man with a bow tie behind the wooded counter. The whole front of it was a forgotten bulletin board. My favorite thing the fine display of car tags nailed up from different states. The side yard a colored man lifted the top of a barbecue pit made from an oil drum . The smell was pork lathered in vinegar and pepper.

I like how she can put a picture in my mind. The different discription between my and hers is she tells more about the place. The thing I like about Sue Monk Kidd is that she's into writing and put a picture in someone's mind. And the only thing I dislike about her is she's better then me in writing.

Neighborhood I grew up in

My neighborhood I grew up in is full of broken down cars with smashed windows and looks like its been there for years. The street walls are tagged up with gang writing in all different colors of spray paint blue, brown and red. People with bald heads and long socks with shorts and tattoos head to toe kicking back on their porch with OLD ENGLISH 40s. Its hotter then 90* degrees my body burning like its ready to explode. Cops driving by every ten minutes making sure no drug activities were going on. Then another young kid getting jumped in a gang wasting his life away trying to be something he's not.

Sue knew she wanted to be a writer when she was a kid because of her dads imaginative stories.Her husband name was Sandy. He taught at a small liberal arts college.The Secret Life of Bees has sold more than 3.5 million copies. Her second novel she wrote was The Mermaid Chair in 2002. She completed the novel in 2004. It was Published in the Spring of 2005. Sue monk Kidd was born on 12 of August 1948. She is 61 yrs old.
